Lady A have become somewhat the heart of C2C Festival as a whole and in many ways the centre of country music here in the UK.
The UK fans adore Lady A! We never tire of them! Fans here are known for loving the album tracks as well as the big hits and that is why they can sing pretty much anything here and we will be happy!
Starting with Owned the Night, Lady A knew that that title was exactly how the night was going to go.
The atmosphere is second to none at a Lady A gig. Hilary, Dave, Charles and the band just bring something so special to their sets which is incredibly hard to beat.
American Honey, one of the most beautiful songs in country music in the last 15 or so years always brings such a phenomenal feeling. It’s so wonderfully country.
Wanted You More went down a storm and just three songs in, it was clear that not many were going to stay sat down or leave early.

Hilary looked sensational on stage rocking a pink sequinned suit which she spoke of as she was proudly announcing how she was the only female on the main stage that night. Later in the evening she described the suit as a “Boss Barbie” suit.
Lady A have so many hits it’s a wonder how they can possibly sit down and decide a set list. In fact we are always pretty lucky here in the UK and a tradition for the UK fans is usually the addition of Hello World but sadly that wasn’t played tonight. They can be forgiven though as they have so much music to deliver.
Heartbreak was fun but Our Kind of Love really hit the spot. Lady A’s earlier songs will always be so special to so many of us and it always shows in a live setting.
Run to You filled the Arena with so much love! That song is so wonderfully epic. It’s the essence of Lady A and what made their sound so unique when they first formed.
Compass and Never Get Over You were flawless and everyone always enjoy themselves during Compass.

However, one could argue the most special part of the evening was when Charles Kelley took to the stage solo. A recovering addict, he explained how he is now 8 months sober and it is weird getting an applause as he shouldn’t have let it get that far. Delivering a highly emotive rendition of As Far As You Could, Charles was sensational and looked and sounded amazing! We, the fans were incredibly proud of him! He sang the song so powerfully and was very inspirational!
A special section followed when Hilary returned on stage. Honouring classic country songs, Lady A called this their Karaoke part of the night as wanted the audience to join in. Singing songs such as Help Me Make it Through The Night and Jolene, the crowd enjoyed every minute of this sing along!

Hilary stated how she learned the Piano as a child but quit and only recently picked it up again. Nervous but no need to be, Hilary sang If The World Was Ending by JP Saxe and Julia Michaels. This song blended beautifully into Just a Kiss.
You Look Good followed and the hits didn’t stop there as we were treated with Bartender, a live show favourite and then the first song they ever sent to country radio Love Don’t Live Here Anymore.
A gorgeous cover of Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty’s Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around was sensational (a song they have performed with Nicks) and of course, they ended with the phenomenal Need You Now.
As always, Lady A pulled off a mind blowing set that created a wonderful atmosphere with some of the happiest country music fans.
Lady A just have that something special, they are the best at what they do and it’s incredibly hard to top them!
