To say we were excited to see Little Big Town at BST Hyde Park is an understatement. As soon as Little Big Town were announced to support Eagles we knew it made absolute sense and that Eagles fans were going to absolutely love them!
Jimi Westbrook, Karen Fairchild, Kimberley Schlapman and Philip Sweet who make up Little Big Town have some of the most stunning vocal harmonies you will ever hear.
Little Big Town never disappoint. A highly impressive back catalogue of timeless tracks, the group chose wisely for a festival set for an audience who were a mix of hardcore fans and people who were being introduced to them for the very first time.
All four members showcased their vocals by selecting songs that they all sing solo on. Kimberley sounded sweet as ever with her honeyed vocals on Throw Your Love Away from the Nightfall album and Philip rocked away on Stay All Night from Painkiller.
Pontoon was the perfect summer anthem and we had hoped for Day Drinking too which we think would have gone down a treat but they played Wine, Beer and Whiskey to keep the drinking song theme alive for a very fitting crowd.
Latest single Hell Yeah was great fun live and very energetic with perfect festival moments clapping along.
Taylor Swift penned Better Man was performed beautifully and Girl Crush was unsurprisingly very popular and Karen’s vocals were perfection on both songs.
Closing the set with fabulous Boondocks, LBT gave us an even more special version of this song by delivering a cool new intro to it.
Little Big Town set the bar high at BST Hyde Park by giving an unforgettable performance full of energy, fun and vocal harmonic heaven. We cannot wait for them to return for some headline shows soon.
New fans were definitely won at BST and deservedly so.
