BST Hyde Park: Morgan Wade delivered an exceptional performance that showed us her ability for superstardom status – Live Review

Headlining the Rainbow Stage, supporting Eagles at BST Hyde Park, Morgan Wade was met with a large crowd who were a mix of curious festival goers and hardcore fans, some who had followed her on every date of her UK tour. One thing they all had in common? They were all fans by the end of the set.

Morgan is a refreshing new artist to country music. Her vocals are sweet, soulful and very strong and her music is the perfect blend of traditional and modern. It’s not just her voice and her music that attracts your attention though. Morgan’s stage presence is a mix of natural born performer and a little bit shy. She sometimes comes across as if she can’t quite believe people enjoy her music – well we do and so do many others. Morgan also inspires the “be who you want to be” attitude and that always shows when she performs and it’s a wonderful vibe.

Singing songs from her critically acclaimed debut album Reckless, the audience were in awe from beginning to end and of course Wilder Days in particular went down an absolute storm. A fun moment was had during her fantastical cover of Jessie’s Girl by Rick Springfield.

The set wasn’t as long as we would have liked but of course that is the nature of a music festival. Wade and her band truly shined on stage giving an exceptional performance that showed us her ability for superstardom status which we believe she will achieve one day and most certainly a dang good prime spot within the country music greats for years to come.
