Pearce’s much-lauded current album, 29 : WRITTEN IN STONE (Big Machine Records) became an instant classic on its release in 2021 and topped many end of year ‘best of’ lists. The committed songwriter navigated disappointment, loss and resilience across the 15-track collection. The arc of realising, accepting and moving on wiser for the experience resonating with both fans and music critics alike. Pearce has grown into a woman who embraces the genre’s forward progression while staying rooted in traditional country musicality and is confident in what she wants to say.
In addition to her CMA and ACM Female Vocalist/Artist of the Year Awards, she was nominated for CMA and ACM Album of the Year for 29 : WRITTEN IN STONE. She also took home her second consecutive ACM Music Event of the Year Award for her single “Never Wanted To Be That Girl” with Ashley McBryde following the Lee Brice duet win with their 2x Platinum-certified single “I Hope You’re Happy Now,” which also won ACM Single of the Year and CMA Musical Event of the Year.
Last year, Pearce became a Member of the Grand Ole Opry, invited by her heroine Dolly Parton which brought things full circle for the Kentucky native who left home at 16 to take a job at Dollywood and is now living her childhood dream.
