New Album Out April 22 2022 On Cooking Vinyl

Award-winning British vocalist and songwriter, Rumer releases new single “Old-Fashioned Girl”, taken from her forthcoming album B Sides and Rarities Vol. 2, out on April 22 2022 via Cooking Vinyl. The long-awaited follow-up to 2015’s B Sides and Rarities Vol. 1, Vol. 2 is a treasure trove of rarities which will be available on digital, CD, vinyl, limited edition orange vinyl and signed test pressings. “Old-Fashioned Girl” is one of two never before released original songs on the new album, alongside first single “Roses”, both of which were originally part of the development of Into Colour.  

 Speaking about “Old-Fashioned Girl”, Rumer said: “Old-Fashioned Girl was written at a time when I was busy traveling around the world and had a real yearning to be more at home. I was really longing for a kind of fantasy version of a simple life.”

Rumer has recently been announced as performing at Latitude Festival, Wickham Festival and The Long Road Festival, alongside her own headline tour dates for 2022:

11th May – Queen Elizabeth Hall, London

13th May – Queen’s Hall, Edinburgh

As well as two Rumer originals, B Sides and Rarities Vol. 2 features unique cover versions of songs by an eclectic cast of writers including: Elton John and Bernie Taupin, Carly Simon, Burt Bacharach and Hal David, Van Morrison, The Bee Gees, Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein, Simon Aldred, Donald Henry and Jonathan Vezner and Hugh Prestwood, a collection of whose compositions Rumer covered on her highly-praised 2021 album Nashville Tears.
