UK Premiere: Shaun Samonini Releases His New Single ‘Nowhere Fast’.

UK singer/songwriter Shaun Samonini has recently been making waves within the UK Country Music community with his last single Stuck On You and by playing a popular showcase at the recent BCMA awards.

With his infectious soulful vocals blended with country pop and rock, Shaun Samonini brings an exciting edge to UK Country music

Some may be familiar with Samonini and his love and talent for country music as he auditioned for The Voice UK in 2020. A fair few of our much loved UK country artists have been on The Voice but it has been quite rare that they have been able to audition with a country song. However, Shaun auditioned with Brett Young’s In Case You Didn’t Know and had chairs turn from Olly Murs, Meghan Trainor and Tom Jones. His emotive vocals wowed the audience as well as the judges and had you believing every word he sung which is part of what country music is all about.

Sadly, he exited during the battle round but this enabled him to concentrate and make his own music.

Speaking of new music, on Friday 3rd December Samonini releases his new single Nowhere Fast and we are delighted to bring you the premiere.

Following his previous single Stuck On You which was written from a much happier place, Nowhere Fast gives us a glimpse of life before his marriage and coping with a break up.

Of the song, Shaun says;

“Have fun listening to this one. If you’re struggling with a breakup, take 3 minutes to dance and sing it out loud. It’s therapeutic, I promise! You’re not over them yet, and that’s all there is to that.”

Nowhere Fast is therapeutic indeed. A fun lovin’, up beat song with a heck of a toe tappin’ beat, this song should definitely get you up and dancing and getting that pain out in the open and hopefully making you feel a little bit better. Blended with Samonini’s soulful vocals the song is instantly loveable and memorable in the best way.

We cannot wait to hear more from Samonini!

About Shaun Samonini

Hot on the heels of his debut release, Stuck On You, soulful-country songwriter Shaun Samonini is shifting focus with the new single Nowhere Fast. While Stuck On You captured the happiness of his relationship with his wife, the latest track looks back to memories long before his marriage and embodies the feeling of needing to let loose in the thick of a break-up.

Heavily guitar-driven and full of energy, Shaun wanted to have some fun with Nowhere Fast, which he wrote as a bit of a homage to Luke Combs during the summer of 2019. In true country fashion, Shaun’s lyrics have an undeniable vulnerability, despite the bright and upbeat production, and this is by design. Nowhere Fast is a soundtrack to go out and drink, forget the pain of heartbreak, and sing away all of your blues.

“Have fun listening to this one. If you’re struggling with a breakup, take 3 minutes to dance and sing it out loud. It’s therapeutic, I promise! You’re not over them yet, and that’s all there is to that.”

Shaun Samonini was born with music in his veins and eager to share his gift. Having performed in such prestigious venues as Her Majesty’s Theatre and The Palladium, he got the taste for performing and has never looked back.

Growing up, he was influenced by an eclectic collection of music. Heavily into Motown and soul music, his vocal stylings are borrowed from the likes of Donny Hathaway and Marvin Gaye. But his dad was always a big Country music fan, and Shaun fondly remembers long journeys listening to Lonestar and The Chicks (formerly The Dixie Chicks).

At 20, Shaun was picked up by a management label and found himself on tour as a featured artist with British soul singer Lemar. Fast forward to 2019, and he was invited to audition for The Voice UK. Shaun wowed the judges, got three turns, and chose Team Tom. He exited at The Battle stage and headed straight to the studio to write a Country music EP, aspiring to the lyrical ability of Brad Paisley but the honesty and vulnerability of Luke Combs and Miranda Lambert.

Shaun pulls together all the elements he values in music, simplicity, honest story-telling, and great musicians for songs that resonate with his unique sound.
