Jimmie Allen won the hearts of the UK country music fans back in October during Country Music Week. One of the most promising new artists, Jimmie is not just a great singer and songwriter but an exceptional performer and over all really nice, awesome guy.
Jimmie should have opened up the main stage on one of the days at the O2 Arena, perhaps next year he will? He certainly deserves that.
Jimmie is something special when he is on stage and always finds time to make people laugh too. Three songs just wasn’t enough.
Jimmie started off his three song set list on the Spotlight Stage inside the O2 Arena with American Heartbreaker which features on his fabulous debut record Mercury Lane. The fun upbeat tune was great acoustically in the O2 so imagine a full band on the main stage with him?
Make Me Want To was next and is Allen’s current single. Jimmie’s past makes him such an inspiration. Having lived in a car and had every job under the sun, Jimmie motivates and inspires his audience that any job is a good job, especially if providing for your family and he encourages his audience to follow their dreams too.
Closing the set with Best Shot, Jimmie was met by a loud crowd, holding up lights and singing a chorus for him without him singing. These voices were beautiful and it was an emotional moment to witness. In this moment it was clear just how far his music has reached audiences over here as everyone in the O2 Arena was singing along.
Jimmie is so great, lets have him back real soon please.
