US Singer/Songwriter/Producer Alyssa Bonagura has fast become a favourite amongst UK country music fans since she started splitting her time between here and Nashville and playing her much loved pop-country gems across various shows throughout the years.

In fact Gem is quite a fitting word to describe Bonagura. An exceptional talent, Bonagura delivers some of the best country pop music in the genre right now. Her recent EP Fly With Me is sensational with 5 tracks that will make you desperate to hear more!

Alyssa graced the Birdcage Stage at British Summertime Hyde Park on July 7th supporting Billy Joel.

First on at 3pm, fans had been waiting from gate opening time at 2pm!

Starting with New Wings and with a full band, Alyssa and the band sounded fabulous and were the perfect act to kick start the day!

Catchy country and quite simply fabulous, Alyssa’s beautiful voice and pleasing music lured in the crowds as she continued to sing!

“This is a song about being in love with someone who is on the other side of the world” beamed Alyssa as she performed Other Side of The World.

Fly With Me from her new EP of the same title, Alyssa jokes “I hear British Airways are here, maybe you can tell them about this song!”

A very pretty mid – tempo ballad, Fly With Me was gorgeous live!

Her first time ever playing this festival, Alyssa states she was in the audience for Paul Simon at BST 2018 so it’s great to be able to play here now.

Jealous was a definite highlight! This song should never leave her set list! Getting the crowd to participate, Alyssa had the audience’s attention and voices from the get go and delivered a fabulously fun performance that would have been enough to make anyone Jealous!

Road Less Traveled next, Alyssa talks of growing up on the road and making her own path in the industry. A beautiful guitar riff, this song was definitely memorable!

New song On It, “it’s so fun Im gonna get you involved are you ready?” A very appealing song for fans of Joel, the song was very honky tonk sounding and very engaging with a wicked guitar solo! This song was made for live shows! It’s gonna be a song country fans dance to for years! It had the biggest applause of the set!

Talking of writing songs for other people she performs Circles that Jana Kramer cut.

Closing the set with Make My Own Sunshine, it felt like Bonagura not only made her own sunshine but the whole of Hyde Park’s too! Alyssa just shines on stage and brings great, happy times with her words, music and personality!

She will undoubtedly walk away with a bunch of new fans today!
