Bristol Sounds billing for the return of this harbourside gig series is a rather good one! with Jacob Collier, Mika, James and Leveller’s Beautiful Day Out making up 4 nights of the action at Lloyds Amphitheatre. The event returns from 21st to 25th June 2023.
Dubbed one of the most innovative musicians of his generation, Jacob Collier will hit the stage on Thursday 22nd June. Since his self made Youtube videos achieved legendary status in the music world, he has been renowned for his stelar collaborations with the likes of John Mayer, Lizzo and Mahalia.
Collier is one of those wonderfully unique artists that you can’t take your eyes off. A multi-instrumentalist, Collier is a master of his craft on stage leaving his viewers and listeners in awe.
Collier cannot be placed into just one genre as he plays Jazz blended with other genres and he uses reharmonisations and close harmony.
It isn’t just his musicianship that makes him appealing, but also his wonderfully unique personality and his spontaneous audience participation moments in his live shows. Those audience participation moments are often his conducting the audience to play part harmonies or percussion. To see what we mean do check him out on YouTube because he really is extremely interesting to watch.
All of our opinions are purely based on what we have seen on screen so we are incredibly excited to experience him in a live setting for the very first time.

Bristol Harbourside at the Amphitheater will be an experience in itself as is such a lovely setting!
Event promoter Conal Dodds of Crosstown Concerts said;
“There is nowhere better to experience a great gig than Bristol’s harbourside. The cranes and ships provide the perfect backdrop to this festival and we’re pleased to be bringing some international talent to the city for five nights. We have some great support acts lined up to announce in the coming months so watch this space.”
