Morganway are a Country/Americana vocal group with first-class vocals/harmonies.

Hailing from Norfolk/Cambridge, the six piece band were founded by twins Callum (lead vocals, bass) and Kieran Morgan (guitar, vocals). SJ Mortimer (lead vocals), Matt Brocklehurst (keyboard, vocals), Nicole J Terry (fiddle, vocals) and Ed Bullinger (drums, vocals) .

The band’s music has previously seen radio support from the legendary Bob Harris on his BBC Radio 2 show, and has also received airplay on Planet Rock.

They have supported artists such as Skunk Anansie, The Shires and Elles Bailey and have played some of the UK’s best festivals such as Glastonbury, Cambridge Folk Festival, Country 2 Country, The Big Feastival, The Long Road Festival and The British Country Music Festival.

The album kicks off in a highly energetic fashion with wonderfully infectious tracks Wait For Me followed by Come Over. SJ Mortimers powerhouse vocals would give any singer a run for their money, I doubt she even needs a microphone with those lungs.

Mid tempo songs come from songs such as World Stopped Running where Callum takes on lead vocals and Burn Every Page which gives off a 90’s trip-hop, hypnotic vibe! Burn Every Page is one of those songs that would sound incredible in the early evening of a music festival just as the sun is starting to go down and there is a bit of a breeze.

A beautiful ballad is found in the song The Sweetest Goodbye. The fiddle and piano playing are stunning and emotive.

Early favourites stem from Wait For Me, Come Over, Burn Every Page and Brother. Brother is a gorgeous folk number with a strong traditional feel to it blended with a bit of country rock. Written by Callum for his brother and bandmate Kieran. He explains that “some of the lyrics are so close to us that probably only he and I would get them, others are perhaps more universal regarding family and friendship.”

Masterful musicianship and vocally insane, this band are absolutely mind-blowing! The tracks will have you blasting them from your speakers and rolling down the windows of the car to crank the music out loud! With summer just around the corner, Back to Zero is the perfect anthem for those outdoorsy days in the sun! Get the BBQ on, drinks in the cooler, invite your friends and play Morganway.

Morganway are simply too good to just dust off as another UK Americana act. This group deserve to be high up on every Festival billing and breaking sales records. The production of this album is pretty much perfection. Every detail is noteworthy and well crafted.
