I have learned over the years at C2C Festival to make sure that I take the time to eat. If I don’t then I tend to get a bit dizzy. The queues can be quite crazy at all the food outlets which is why we invested in checking out what fast food outlets were on offer and which places had click and collect options.

Now C2C is a country music festival as you well know! So I wanted a bit of the South and wanted some Fried Chicken! Thunderbird Chicken were a place that I had wanted to try for some time now so I definitely wasn’t going to miss them!

We visited on the Friday. We has planned to eat inside the restaurant but my youngest son was unwell so we had to take it back to the hotel.

We ordered the Thunder Bun – their OG classic burger slathered in Awesome Sauce (like a smoked burger sauce), with some crunchy lettuce, snappy pickles and a squishy bun. That’s it. Excellent. 25p from every Thunderbun goes towards giving young homeless people a future.

We also ordered the wings with – MISO HONEY MUSTARD – Honey mustard with a smack of miso umami.

My son had a kids meal which was 2 Chicken Strips and Fries.

All of this food went down an absolute treat and it was delicious!!! The burger was tender and had so much taste! The Honey mustard wings were insane and I could have eaten hundreds haha! The fries were great and everything was melt in the mouth fantastic!

There is so much choice on the menu that I almost panicked as had no idea what to go for. This of course means that I have to make a special effort to return and I think we will make it a C2C Festival tradition to go there every year.

With Thunderbird having an option to click and collect your food, it really will make festival goers weekend much simpler, especially if you plan on being in and out of live shows. The service was wonderful. Our server Beritto was super sweet, very friendly and wonderfully helpful! He alone makes us want to return. It really does make a difference when you have such a wonderful warm welcome like that!

I am getting hungry writing this. I really wish we had a Thunderbird in Gloucestershire. I miss it already!

We are big foodies so food has to be great for us to enjoy!!! we certainly loved our meal. We will definitely try something different each visit!
