Country 2 Country Festival (C2C)

Country 2 Country – C2C Festival 2023: Breland – Live Review

Last year on the spotlight stage to opening the main stage on the first day of the festival this year for C2C Festivals 10th Anniversary , Breland more than deserved the upgrade!

One of the artists we were most looking forward to this weekend, Breland did not disappoint and definitely needed to be on stage for more than 20 minutes. Thank goodness he is playing the After Party in Indigo 2 on Saturday night and a show on Sunday!

Opening with Natural from his epic debut album Cross Country, Breland’s set was full on energetic from the get go! Up beat, fun, on point and as close to perfection as you can get, Breland kept the energy alive for Beers on Me.

Next up was For What It’s Worth which he recently released with Alana Springsteen. Alana may not have joined him on stage but there is a possibility she will be at his Breland and Friends after party show.

Breland said he couldn’t believe he was on the main stage so soon after being on the Spotlight Stage but for us, it’s so easy to see why he is!

Breland talked about not being the typical country artist but that he believes country music is for everyone and well, the whole O2 Arena of course agreed!

Cross Country followed, one of the best songs in country music in a while in our opinion. Beautifully delivered, the song was in its original form lyrically before the album version with Mickey Guyton. Changing up the lyrics just a little bit to say It’s Ok To Be In The UK (It’s Ok to be in my own lane)

A ridiculously mind blowing performance of Throw it Back was next. Minus Keith Urban of course but he wasn’t needed. Breland is such a massively great entertainer on his own.

Closing the set with Praise the Lord. Again, without the feature of Thomas Rhett. Changing Rhett’s part to fit with his life he sang “Praise the lord I’ve got no babies and none on the way”

The set was way too short and over just as the crowd were getting into it.

Breland is headline worthy and I doubt it will be long before he is headlining the O2 one day, he certainly deserves to be and with a set as energetic as his, can you imagine how insane a headline set will be? I can’t wait for that day!
