British Summertime (BST Hyde Park)

BST Hyde Park – More Country/Americana acts Join Eagles Line Up : Cam, Morgan Wade, The Wandering Hearts, Patrick Droney to join previously announced Little Big Town, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss supporting Eagles.

Over the years, BST Hyde Park have booked so many country music artists to support major headliners, giving country music the recognition it deserves to an audience who may not necessarily be country fans. Artists such as Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real, Eric Paslay, The Shires, Ryan Kinder have gained massive fanbases at these events.

This year, the country music love just keeps coming. Eagles fans will already likely be fans of the genre as the music of the Eagles crosses over at times. Little Big Town were announced alongside Robert Plant and Alison Krauss last year but today the exciting news continues with the addition of; The Wandering Hearts, Cam, Morgan Wade and Patrick Droney.

The Wandering Hearts are no strangers to BST Hyde Park and have seen themselves grown from the summer stage all the way to the main stage. We are so excited to see them back at BST to showcase their new music as well as older fan favourites. The UK Americana/Folk Trio always put on a fantastic live setting with their infectious harmonies soaring across Hyde Parks many acres.

The Wandering Hearts have achieved consecutive #1 spots on the UK’s Official American and Country charts, first with their breakthrough debut, 2018’s Wild Silence, and then with 2021’s self-titled sophomore record. The band just released the deluxe version of their second album earlier this month, as they continue to be one of the leading lights of the British country scene, even nominated for Album of the Year at the UK Americana Awards 2022.

We are absolutely beside ourselves to be included in this line up. The Eagles have been a huge influence on us growing up and especially as a vocal harmony group. The same must be said for Robert Plant and Allison Krauss, in fact we have huge amounts of admiration and respect for all the artists on this year’s line up, many of whom have been firm favourites of the band for years!” – The Wandering Hearts

US sensation Cam will be making her first appearance at BST and will undoubtedly draw in a huge audience during her set and those unfamiliar with her, well, you’re about to fall in love. A ray of sunshine with a breathtakingly beautiful voice, Cam is a fantastic performer who engages her audience with her sensational songs and charming wit. Songs such as Burning House, May Day, Diane, Village, Till There’s Nothing Left and more will blow the crowd away and Fireball Whiskey will have everyone laughing and having a good time.

Cam took the world of country music by storm with her critically acclaimed 2015 debut album, Untamed, hitting #12 in the Billboard Top 200 and #2 on the Top Country Albums Chart. This record introduced Cam and her double platinum GRAMMY-nominated single ‘Burning House’ to the world, a song that redefined industry norms and remains the best-selling country song by a female solo artist. Having sold-out shows across the globe, Cam has cemented her status as an international powerhouse, now taking to the BST Hyde Park stage for the very first time.

US breakout star, singer/songwriter Morgan Wade became one of the most popular acts at this years Country 2 Country Festival and her first headline tour in the UK this June saw many dates sold out within minutes. Playing songs from her album Reckless, Wade will have the audience entranced with her emotive and stunning music.

Her debut album Reckless was a critic favourite, topping the Rolling Stone Country’s 25 Best Albums list in 2021, and has recently been given a  refresh with a deluxe version, released in January this year. Morgan’s bold presence and ability to merge difficult topics with classic country music means she is definitely not one to miss.

Sunday 26 June sees newcomer Patrick Droney join the line-up. The New Jersey-raised musician weaved pop, classic rock and R&B together into his finely crafted debut album, 2021’s State of the Heart, which has now surpassed an incredible 100 million streams.
