Love on the Radio is the latest single from UK country singer/songwriter Harleymoon Kemp. Having released a few other singles such as Space and She Looks Like Me, Love on The Radio for us at BOON has become a firm favourite.
Harleymoon’s vocals are strong in this track and the songs melody is uplifting and fun, definitely a tune for a lockdown pick me up and dancing around your kitchen. A great modern country sound reminiscent to the current Nashville sounds, Love on the Radio is definitely a hit in our eyes and ears.
The more we hear Harleymoon the more we crave a live show and truly hope she will be playing some of these summer festivals this year should they go ahead. We are truly hoping for them.
Harleymoon as a person just seems like the most funnest and down to earth person ever and well…we just wanna hang out!
The track, due out March 12th is an insouciant, wind-in- the-hair ode to the timeless love songs.
On the inspiration behind the track, Harleymoon says;
“This song is about believing in the type of love you hear on the radio – and not settling for anything less than that, the kind of whirlwind romance we all crave and ultimately deserve. Those classic tracks let us all know it’s out there somewhere!
I wanted the production to feel like a summer road trip, turning up the volume to fall in love over again. It’s a song for old-school romantics who play records on repeat.”
“Love On The Radio” is the follow-up to the Spotify-playlisted single “Lucky” which premiered on the London New Years Day Parade broadcast.
In addition to her artist career, Harleymoon’s songwriting collaborations have seen success in multiple genres, with tracks from her song catalog surpassing 35 million streams on digital services.
Her 2020 debut “Space” rocketed to #1 on the UK country music digital sales chart and featured on Country Hits, Chris Country and BBC Radio. Second single “She Looks Like Me” followed with additional support from CMT in the US, and was added to editorial playlists by major global streaming services. Harleymoon performed the track as an exclusive live TV debut on ITV’s Sunday Best! in September.
Harleymoon is currently working with a who’s-who of hitmakers including Ruthanne (Britney Spears, Niall Horan) on an extended-play due later in 2021.
