Hailing from Ontario, Canada (A lovely place to visit I might add) James Barker Band are really starting to make waves within the country music world and deservedly so. If you like artists such as Old Dominion, Dierks Bentley and so on then this band are for you.

The energy the group have on their studio releases is really exciting so in a live setting, well..I can only imagine it being insane. I may even go as far as to say that I think James Barker Band are going to to be one of the artists across C2C weekend that people will talk about a lot and perhaps have as much of a high demand from the UK as Old Dominion did after their first visit here. Now I love a band that has a lot of personality within their music and James Barker Band certainly have that. Their videos are hilarious, just watch the new video for Keep It Simple: all I am going to say is “Who is brave enough to do that on stage during one of their C2C performances? Haha!”

Not to be cheesy but…..if you want to get chills during a song of theirs then listen to Chills. Another funny video to watch, this band know how to capture their audience. It has become apparent that every song they have released so far is wonderfully memorable and all are the type of songs that create an energetic atmosphere as are all so great to sing a long to.

A must-see song live of theirs is Just Sayin’. Guys, you HAVE to play this ok? Just sayin’.

The band released an EP titled Game On in 2017 via Universal Music Canada. The album includes the already mentioned songs Just Sayin‘ and Chills but there is oh so much more to enjoy. Lawn Chair Lazy is a brilliant summer anthem but we don’t mind starting summer a little early in March now do we? It’s Working will get you toe tappin’, hand clappin’ or bopping along: Throwback has a Kenny Chesney feel to it and is a great tune. Things get a bit more traditional country in the song Living The Dream so there really is something for everyone.

Uplifting beats, funky riffs, upbeat tunes, easy listening, well written tracks, a fun, energetic and easy to love band, what more can you want in a C2C artist? Make sure you check them out.
