We adore Hunter Hayes here at BOON. Quite possibly one of the most talented artists in music today – Hayes is a multi instrumentalist as well as a singer/songwriter. It’s his live shows where I think Hunter’s true talents really lie and with C2C Festival just around the corner (March 8th,9th and 10th) we cannot wait to see him rock out some of his new tunes as well as his older ones. Even if you are not a fan of Hunter’s music, I highly recommend sticking around and watching his set if you are at C2C Festival this year. Songs such as I Want Crazy and Tattoo are songs that really had the potential to be a massive all-genre hit and his collaboration with Jason Mraz on his track Everybody’s Got Somebody But Me is simply brilliant and way beyond his years. Hunter may still be relatively young but his heartfelt lyrics have always been of a mature standard.
Throughout his career so far, Hunter has been nominated for a Grammy 5 times, released two albums and an EP, won two American Country Awards ( Single by a New Artists “Wanted”, Music Video by a New Artist “Wanted” ) a CMA award ( New Artist of the Year) and much more.
It has been quite a long time since we have had a new album from Hunter and although he has treated us with the odd song release over the last few years, we can’t wait for a new album and hope it is soon.
Today, (February 15th) Hunter releases his music video for Heartbreak. Directed by Colin Duffy, Hayes optimistically relives the day over and over again to get one step closer to his true love. The broadcast video premiered exclusively on Viacom channels (CMT and MTV), including airings on Times Square billboards in New York City. “Heartbreak” has already received praise from Rolling Stone, People and more, with Paste describing it as “a love-song’s curveball at the traditional breakup narrative.”
Hunter Hayes returns to the C2C Festival stage this March and we have no doubt that he will completely rock out the joint.
