The Wood Brothers – One Drop of Truth – Album Review

Americana/Folk/Country band The Wood Brothers return with their superb album One Drop of Truth.

Authentic country at its best – The Wood Brothers deliver Steller vocals, smart, focused, interesting lyrics and exceptional musicianship.

The Wood Brothers create real music with a lot of soul, depth and honesty.

One Drop Of Truth has a great mixture of pure melodious yet soulful ballads such as Strange As It Seems, acoustic sensations such as River Takes the Town, bluesy, hypnotic styled songs such as Laughin’ Or Crying, raw edgy, lively tunes such as One Drop Of Truth and Happiness Jones, toe tapping, rhythmic tunes such as Seasick Emotions, This Is It , Sparkling Wine and Can’t Look Away and more slightly mad, wild tunes such as Sky High.

Strange As It Seems, a quick favourite with its acoustic stylings and entranced melody which is beautiful in its simplicity.

One Drop of Truth is a thoroughly enjoyable album with interesting storytelling lyrics, expressive, majestic melodies and soothing vocals and a fine example of true artistry.
