In the last few years Country 2 Country Festival have taken the festival to an even higher level with the addition of small stage at the back of the arena. Previously named The Satellite Stage and now renamed The Yamaha Stage, the idea was to showcase new or rising talent to perform in between main stage acts. This is a fantastic idea since no one likes the long wait between acts.
This years line up for The Yamaha Stage is its strongest yet. Seeing as Friday had a shorter line up, the Yamaha Line up was shorter too. First up in between Jennifer Nettles set and Chris Young was new artist Chase Bryant.
Chase, unknown to some but known to many took total ownership of his stage and made the best of the short two song-time slot that he had. Oozing with confidence and engaging with the crowd, a lot! Chase got the audience up on their feet and full of energy. He began with his song Little Bit Of You. The crowd downstairs left their seats to gather round The Yamaha Stage and many of them sang along with Chase which seemed to really throw him and made him incredibly proud and emotional. Chase is an awesome and very talented singer/songwriter who also happens to be amazing on the guitar. His playing is so electric and solid that it is no wonder Brad Paisley invited him on stage during his set.
Ending with his more widely known Take It On Back which was an impressive performance with a lot of excitement and very uplifting, we were all sad that he couldn’t stay on stage for any longer. Chase did have other shows throughout the weekend though and this performance no doubt lead to many people making sure they caught him at one of those shows as he undoubtedly gained a lot of fans that night.
Chase Bryant is no doubt going to be a big name soon so watch this space and please keep an eye and an ear out for him and his music. You won’t be sorry.
