HONALULU, Hawaii. – GRAMMY Award-winning country music singer/songwriter Darius Rucker will showcase another talent this week as he makes a guest appearance on Hawaii Five-0. As originally reported by Entertainment Weekly, Rucker will play the role of bomb maker and notorious criminal Desmond Abati in the episode airing this Friday, February 24 at 9pm ET/PT on the CBS Television Network.
“This was an amazing opportunity and, for me, one that challenged me in a different way than being in the studio or on stage does,” shares Rucker. “I can’t wait to see the full episode alongside fans this Friday!”
While it’s not the first time Rucker has showcased his acting chops, playing international criminal Desmond Abati does mark his first time tackling a dramatic role.
