American Express presents BST Hyde Park are delighted to welcome legendary singer, songwriter and storyteller Stevie Nicks as headliner on Friday 12 July. Today we can announce three artists embellishing this day even further; Brandi Carlile, Anna Calvi and Paris Paloma.

11-time GRAMMY Award-winning singer, songwriter, and activist Brandi Carlile is best known for her powerful voice and acclaimed career spanning seven studio albums, including her latest, the 3-time GRAMMY-winning In These Silent Days. She’s also a respected producer, with recent GRAMMY-winning projects for Joni Mitchell, Brandy Clark, and upcoming artist Tish Melton. Collaborating with icons like Elton John, Dolly Parton, and Alicia Keys, Carlile’s influence extends across genres. She’s been recognized as OUT Magazine’s “Icon of the Year” and received numerous awards for her contributions to music and activism, including Billboard’s “Trailblazer Award” and CMT’s “Impact Award.”

Anna Calvi is a captivating force in the music scene. From the moment she burst onto the scene with her self-titled debut album, she’s been setting the world on fire with her genre-defying sound. Nominated for prestigious awards like the Mercury Prize and BRIT Awards, Calvi is a true musical powerhouse. With each album release, from 2013’s One Breath to 2018’s Hunter and many more, she takes listeners on a thrilling journey through her sonic landscapes.

Derbyshire-born Paris Paloma debuted ‘labour’ in 2023, marking her first fully recorded studio track after earlier releases like narcissus in 2020, the 2021 EP cemeteries and socials, and 2023’s notre dame, which were all produced in her bedroom or elsewhere. The success of ‘labour’ propelled Paloma onto the global music stage, earning her millions of streams on platforms like Spotify and landing her on both the Official UK Singles Chart and the US Billboard Chart.

Speaking of her BST Hyde Park headline show, Stevie Nicks says “Anything that draws me back to London ~ and therefore to England ~ fills my heart with joy. And to be able to visit and make music… is always a dream come true…”

Stevie Nicks has played a pivotal role in shaping the global music scene. Best known for her iconic contributions to the rock band Fleetwood Mac, Nicks joined the group in 1975, introducing her distinctive voice, poetic songwriting, and captivating stage presence. Her impact on Fleetwood Mac’s success during the late 1970s and early 1980s, particularly with the release of the highly acclaimed album Rumours, solidified her as a musical powerhouse. This record sold over 40 million copies worldwide, making it the 5th best-selling album of the 1970s and the 9th best-selling album of all time.

Beyond her contributions to Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks has had a significant solo career that further cements her enduring influence. Hits like ‘Edge of Seventeen’ and ‘Stand Back’ showcase her versatility and unique style. Nicks’ ability to transcend musical boundaries, coupled with her trailblazing role as a woman in rock, has inspired generations of artists, including some of recent collaborators Miley Cyrus and Lana Del Rey. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Fleetwood Mac in 1998 and as a solo artist in 2019, Stevie Nicks continues to be celebrated not only for her musical prowess but also as a symbol of resilience and creativity in the ever-evolving musical landscape.
