With Lakefest being less than two weeks away, most attendees will already have an idea of who they are going to see, what they are going to do and what they are going to eat but some will be playing it by ear. Either way, everyone likes to discover someone and something new at a festival and we have put together some names and things we think festival goers may like.

We wouldn’t be loyal to our county music roots is we didn’t recommend Harleymoon Kemp. Daughter of Martin Kemp, Harleymoon has been making a name for herself in the country music scene for a while now and she is here to stay. If you want to add a bit of country to your weekend then Harleymoon is an absolute must. Not only will her music get you up and dancing but her fun-loving persona will have you laughing and falling in love with her in no time. Her songs are addictive and fresh with a dash of gimmick.

Vince Freeman is a name that has been on our playlists for a while with his album Scars, Ghosts and Glory. A fantastic singer/songwriter, his voice is so soulful and captivating that he will undoubtedly be a highlight for many and one people will go away talking about for a long time after. Soul blended with pop, what more can you want?
If you are attending with children then the activity area is a must. There are so much free stuff to do for kids where they can play freely alone, or make new friends with other festival goers and have the time of their lives. A lot of these activities can be played in a group. Previous years we played throwing ping pong balls into a giant hippos mouth and as weird as it sounds, it was actually one of the things that kept our kids occupied all weekend. There will be so many craft activities that the kids can join in and although some of those may cost a small fee, the children will learn a new skill which will inspire confidence and of course, be fun! In the same area there will be things for adults to do too so don’t you worry. You can usually find a chill out tent for mums who are breastfeeding so I hope that makes a return this year because it was a life saver for many in the past. Also in this heat, it will be even more appreciated.
Check out the Cotswold Soul and Calm Club which is a magical place for wellbeing. Here, guests can do yoga, relax with the soothing sounds of a crystal singing bowl sound bath and much more.

Go spend time with the food vendors where you can. A lot of our favourites will be making a return such as Beefy Boys who do some of the best burgers I have ever had. There will be many new guys too so do have a good look around and take your time. We are intrigued by Death Row Sandwiches who make towering, loaded sandwiches which will likely fill you up for the whole day so make some room in those stomachs.
With all the music and activities, you won’t get bored. The line up is fantastic with artists such as Newton Faulkner, The Charlatans, The Bluetones, Soul ll Soul, Chesney Hawkes, Bananarama and many more!
