Country 2 Country Festival’s (C2C) Sunday show opened with the infectious energy of Drake Milligan at London’s O2 arena. Having played the spotlight stage just last year at the festival and back by popular demand from the fans, Milligan kicked off the final night with the confidence and vigour of any headline act.
His trademark style and rockabilly influence gave rise to a show full of crowd pleasers that did more than warm everyone up for the night. Hits like ‘Bad Day to be a Beer’ and ‘Hating Everything She Tries On’ from his Dallas/Fort Worth album livened up the crowd – who went wild for the distinctive opening riffs of his cover of Roy Orbison’s ‘Pretty Woman’.

Milligan closed his show with the fan favourite ‘Kiss Goodbye All Night’ and his song that won over America’s Got Talent judges – and country fans everywhere – ‘Sounds Like Something I’d Do’.
Drake Milligan is a modern twist on a classic sound that he has brought back into style, and he proved that with the way he commanded the stage. We can’t wait to welcome him back for his tour in July.
