It should go without saying that we, the UK country music fans had been waiting for Jake Owen to be part of the C2C Festival line up since C2C first opened its doors in 2013. So when he was announced for the 2024 line up, fans were counting down the days!
On Saturday 9th March 2024, Owen’s set began and with not even a minute gone, you could tell that he was going to be one of, if not THE most popular act of the entire weekend.
It was a masterful set from Owen and his entire band throughout. From start to finish the energy levels were high on stage but in the crowd the energy was even higher and one of the highest levels we have ever seen at C2C Festival. I don’t know if Jake Owen ever really knew until that moment just how much of a large fanbase he has here in the UK.

Owen’s smile is infectious and his stage presence was on fire! Watching the crowd sing every word to every song was a beautiful thing to witness. It’s what C2C is all about. That raw, real, passion for country music shows in every audience member.
Days of Gold was when the O2 really started to roar with excitement and from then on Owen proved his worth of one day returning as the headliner and for certain making the audience hungry for a headline tour!
Beachin’ was without a shadow of a doubt one of the funnest moments of the evening! Whilst it may have been a cold March in the UK, Jake Owen brought us sunshine and good times.
Down To The Honky Tonk translated beautifully in the O2 Arena. It’s authentic stylings made us feel like we were in the heart of Nashville. Owen IS country music and one of the reasons why we love it so much! Each sound played during this song was sheer perfection and you could feel every note and the atmosphere was powerful!

I Want My CMT was funny, fun, energetic, nostalgic and backed by a hilarious video backdrop.
Closing with Barefoot Blue Jean Night, the night was over too soon! The roaring crowd singing back to Owen until the very close was emotional and a moment we will all remember for a long time.
There wasn’t a moment that fans didn’t enjoy! Jake Owen gave us a reason to fall in love with his music all over again. He is a master of his craft, a natural born performer who owned the stage in the O2 Arena. He may have a song called Days of Gold but his time at C2C Festival were Nights of Gold!

What a performance by Jake. A pure vision running across the stage in his bright yellow trousers the music vibrating through us in the crowd, has to be the performance of the weekend, and that smile….😄
