Think UK country music doesn’t have what it takes to be up against the finest in the US charts? Think again. Emma and Jolie have already delivered a high quality sound and just with their debut single I Don’t Need A Man.
It’s so nice to hear the kind of stylings that made me fall in love with country music come from a UK artist. Emma and Jolie are certainly a country duo that are going to make waves within the UK and you wouldn’t be blamed for mistaking them for a US act either as the girls seem to have found the perfect sound that fits within both the UK and US sides of the genre.
The pop infused yet rocky edged tune is instantly catchy and no doubt the girls will have instant comparisons to that of Maddie and Tae and whilst they don’t sound like them vocally, I do agree fans of the US duo should fall in love with Emma and Jolie.
The attitude of the track is infectious and gets you motivated and feeling good and confident. Vocally the girls are sassy and cool and the song will stay in your head for a while and in a good way.
I look forward to hearing what else the girls have up their sleeve, especially a ballad to really hear those vocals shine.
