TAKEN FROM DEBUT ALBUM
A MOMENT OF YOUR TIME
Norwegian-born singer-songwriter Liv Austen announces that she will be releasing tracks ‘Detour’ and ‘Whole Heart’ from her debut album A Moment of Your Time. The tracks will be available from Friday May 17th as a double A-side limited edition 7” vinyl, sold exclusively on Liv’s website and at live performances, and available across download and streaming services.
The double A-side is the next stepping-stone in a string of successes from the country-pop star. Liv released her debut album A Moment of Your Time last October, which received a 5* review from Maverick magazine and a raving review from us at BOON too which can be read here.
Liv has since had over half a million streams on Spotify. She also supported American country star Sarah Darling on her UK tour in March.
‘Detour’ and ‘Whole Heart’ were recorded at NUA Studios and Wandsworth Studios. They were produced in London by Jon Wright and co-produced by Liv and LOFT.
‘Detour’ and ‘Whole Heart’ were placed together on A Moment of Your Time, reflecting the key part they play in Liv’s story. The two songs were both written by Liv; they openly and honestly describe the heartbreak of being written out of someone else’s story (‘Detour’) and then finding new love and fearing that the same will happen again (‘Whole Heart’).
“Detour and Whole Heart are very special songs to me because they came completely from a place of raw honesty – my mask is totally off in both of them. It’s fascinating to me how vulnerability and strength go hand in hand as much as they do; when I opened up and wrote about something so personal and painful, I felt more empowered than ever!”
Liv will perform at this year’s Long Road Festival on Friday 6th September, you can purchase tickets HERE.

“Perfectly encapsulates what country pop should be about”
“The pop sensibilities to cross over to the widest possible audience”

About Liv Austen:
The Norwegian-born singer-songwriter arrived in the UK in 2010 to study acting. However, Liv’s greatest love – music – took her on a slightly different path. After her first EP release, and performances around the UK (including a set in front of a packed 800-capacity venue in the early days of C2C), she quickly found herself as one of the hottest properties in the ever-expanding British country music scene. She has become a key part of that explosion, but also has the pop sensibility to cross over to the widest possible audience.
Liv Austen is an artist who came to London for the drama but stayed for the music. To say that she made the right decision is turning into quite an understatement.
