MAREN MORRIS TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM “GIRL” ON 8TH MARCH “COMMON” FEATURING BRANDI CARLILE AVAILABLE TODAY WITH ALBUM PRE-ORDER

MORRIS TO PERFORM AT THE 61ST ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS®

GRAMMY Award-winning singer/songwriter Maren Morris is set to release her new album GIRL on 8th March. The 14-track new album is Morris’ second major-label album for Columbia Records.

Album pre-orders for GIRL are available now and fans who pre-order GIRL before its release will instantly receive “Common” (feat. Brandi Carlile), the second song to be released off the forthcoming record. The album’s first single and title track, “GIRL” reached 3.3 million streams in its first week of launching.

For GIRL Morris once again tapped GRAMMY Award-winning songwriter/producer busbee, who co-produced Morris’ 2016 debut, HERO, to co-produce 11 of the 14 songs on the album with her, while also adding GRAMMY Award-winning songwriter/producer Greg Kurstin to co-produce 3 of the 14 songs with Morris.

Morris is nominated in FIVE categories at the 61st Annual GRAMMY Awards® including Record of the Year (“The Middle”), Pop Duo/Group Performance (“The Middle”), Best Country Solo Performance (“Mona Lisas And Mad Hatters”), Best Country Duo/Group Performance and Best Country Song (“Dear Hate”), will perform as part of a special tribute to eight-time GRAMMY® winner and 2019 MusiCares® Person of the Year Dolly Parton.

Adding to the excitement of two new songs, a new music video, and new album merely a month away from release, Morris was also tapped by Genius, the unique music media company that’s powered by a two million+ community of superfans and artists ranging from Cardi B to Lin-Manuel Miranda, to be the very first Country artist to ever be part of its flagship video series VERIFIED, which features artists such as John Legend, Maggie Rogers, Troye Sivan, and Future breaking down the lyrics and meaning behind their songs.
