Ryan Kinder: New Single Stay OUT NOW – Review

Ryan Kinder has released his current single Stay leading up to an album early in 2019.

The blues guitar riffed rock ballad Stay is a stunning, powerfully sung track that encompasses everything Kinder is about – authenticity, honesty and passion. The song, which Kinder describes as a “Straight up love song to his wife” is is an emotive track with an infectious bluesy rock melody and is just one of a handful of damn fine tunes from Kinder that make you eager for an album and wonder why he isn’t on his tenth or so album already.

Kinder’s music is always incredibly thought out both instrumentally and lyrically and Stay is no exception. Ryan Kinder has become one of our favourite artists here at BOON over the last year and he is an artist that deserves a lot of recognition. If you get a chance to see him live then you must, his shows are insanely good with exceptional musicianship from himself and his band and if you’re lucky, he may even have his gospely backing vocalists. Stay is Written by Kinder, Fred Wilhelm and Luke Sheets, produced by Kinder and Sheets.

At the root, this song is a prayer, a mantra, a plea to the one you love to walk alongside you through life’s journey of ups and downs,” explains Kinder. “Since writing it, I have found strength from this song in my career as well. Music has been my companion and saving grace more times than I can count, and “Stay” reminds me of that.”

Available for streaming now, and impacting country radio August 20th, “Stay” will be included on Kinder’s next album slated for early 2019.

About Ryan Kinder

Born in Knoxville and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, Kinder juggled twin interests in baseball and music throughout childhood and past his admission into the University of Alabama. When a massive tornado nearly destroyed his home in Tuscaloosa, though, he realized that life is best lived in pursuit of what really moves us – and that music was his truest love. This motivated him to move to Nashville to write and perform his own style of country music, which he describes as “riff-roaring rock, with a side of sweet Southern soul.”

In 2014, Kinder began building a loyal fan base when “Kiss Me When I’m Down” hit country radio. Press accolades spread the news: Billboard introduced him as “a singer/songwriter with an intense, urgent vocal style.” Rolling Stone Country hailed him as a must-see act at CMA Fest 2015 and SiriusXM “The Highway” host Storme Warren described him as “one of the greatest artists to come from Music Row.” A major label deal earned him even wider exposure, as did touring stints with Zac Brown Band, Tim McGraw, Darius Rucker and other country superstars.

Kinder’s critically acclaimed songs including “Close,” “Tonight,” “Alabama” and “Still Believe In Crazy Love,” have become fan favorites and have garnered more than 50 million on-demand streams across the globe. His striking, slow-tempo rearrangement of the CCR hit “Fortunate Son” inspired rock legend John Fogerty to welcome Kinder onto his “Blues And Bayous Tour” with ZZ Top. Most recently, Kinder was invited for another bucket list experience this summer where he joined Eric Clapton, Santana, Steve Winwood and Gary Clark Jr. for a sold-out concert at London’s famed Hyde Park.
