BST Hyde Park: Ole 60 (Supporting Zach Bryan) 28th June 2025 – Live Review

Closing The Rainbow Stage at BST Hyde Park on June 28th 2025, supporting Zach Bryan, Kentucky based country band Ole 60 felt like headliners. Bringing in a massive crowd, the band owned Hyde Park within their first song. It was absolutely packed. It was clear that nobody was moving from their spot until their set was over. Opening with Dust to Dust fans were singing every word.

Made for the open sky, the sound of Ole 60 soared across Hyde Park alongside the undeniable love for the band which created quite the electric atmosphere.

Brother Joe was a stand out moment. Its melancholic lyrics formed a silence within the crowd showing the deep listening side of UK audiences. Rose was an another highlight for us. The song has such a great 90’s edge to it which makes it a firm favourite. Next To You gave us a phenomenal crowd interacting experience which was nicely followed by a cover of Coldplay’s Yellow.

Closing with Smoke and a Light, the roaring chant of the crowd proved the popularity of not just the song but the band as a whole. A relatively newly formed band, this was Ole 60’s debut in the UK, and in fact in Europe. Ole 60’s music translates so incredibly well in a live setting and their added instrumental jamming was mind blowing.

Aden Wood, Ryan Laslie, Jacob Ty Young, Colby Clark, Dustin “Catfish” Fuqua and Dwight McGlynn who make up Ole 60 will undoubtedly be playing bigger stages in the not too distant future. We wouldn’t be surprised if they headline the O2 Arena in a couple of years time. It felt like a privilege to be witnessing their debut today. It was definitely a “we were there” moment.
