British Summertime (BST Hyde Park)

BST Hyde Park: Maya Lane and Asha Banks join the line up for Noah Kahan

BST Hyde Park is one of THE events to be at every year. With highly impressive headliners every year, the support acts are also of high calibre which make the event even more worth attending.

With gates for each event opening approximately at 2pm, it is always worth getting to the event from the time gates open to not just secure a good spot at the front but to explore and discover new music. With various stages, you won’t be short of things to do and many people fall in love with new artists at this event.

For the date where Folk-pop sensation Noah Kahan is headlining on Friday 4th July, we are already treated with exceptional support acts such as Gracie Abrams, Finneas, Kevin Atwater, Paris Paloma Gigi Perez, Hazlett, Jo Hill, Sebastian Schub and Sydney Rose. However, BST have a habit of making things even bigger and better and have just released two more names to the line up!

One of those names in one of our current favourites Maya Lane. Part of Amex’s unsigned artists, Lane will “wow” her audience with her country-folk songs which have been inspired by Fleetwood Mac, Kacey Musgraves, HAIM and Joni Mitchell. A young rising star with an old soul, the London based singer is truly a captivating artist. Lane made the longlist for the Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition in 2024 and has supported many artists including Far From Saints on their UK tour, playing to sold-out shows. Maya also played at this year’s C2C Festival. Earmarked as a “New In Pop” act by Apple Music, Lane’s bright career is just getting started.

Noah Kahan fans should dive into the music of Maya Lane in preparation for her appearance. If you are a fan of Kahan, then Maya Lane should be the artist for you. Her album Diary of an Overthinker plays host to a delightful set of songs that should definitely garner a lot of attention. Songs such as Heart for a Heart will mesmerise the crowd and people will be in awe of not just her talent but the fact she is only 19 years old. A stunning vocalist, Lane’s writing is inspiring and easy to get lost in.

Singer/Songwriter and actress Asha Banks also joins the line up. With an impressive West End career having performed in some of the top musicals such as Les Misérables, 1984 and Annie, Banks released her debut EP, Untie My Tongue, in March this year and has become one of London’s one-to-watch rising stars. The dreamy EP will likely soar across Hyde Park capturing the attention of many event goers.

Over the past year, Grammy-nominated Vermont singer-songwriter Noah Kahan has exploded from his New England roots into the global mainstream, solidifying himself as one of this year’s biggest and best new artists.

Across three albums and two EPs, Kahan has garnered global renown for his singular mix of Folk, Americana, and Rock, landing more than five billion streams, a Double Platinum Certification for hit single ‘Stick Season’, and collaborations with Post Malone, Kacey Musgraves, Kelsea Ballerini, Brandi Carlile, Gracie Abrams, Sam Fender and more.

A major global success, ‘Stick Season’, a song based on the malaise he felt staying in his hometown, became Kahan’s first UK Top 10 single. Climbing all the way to Number 1, it sat atop the UK charts for seven weeks and, in February this year, he landed the Official Chart double – as both ‘Stick Season’ and its accompanying album took the Number 1 spot on both the Official Singles and Albums Chart simultaneously. Last year, the track was named the UK’s Biggest Song of 2024 by Official Charts.

Shows in support of his widely adored, Platinum-Certified album, Stick Season, sold-out across North America, selling over half-a-million tickets – just a prelude to his stadium and arena dates on his sold-out world tour that followed. In 2024 here in the UK, Kahan sold-out two nights at OVO Wembley Arena, following up with two sold-out shows at the O2 Arena just a few months later. Now the singer joins the incredible list of headliners to play BST Hyde Park’s Great Oak Stage, for one of the biggest shows of his career so far.

BST Hyde Park’s headliners for 2025 are: Olivia Rodrigo (27 June), Zach Bryan (28 + 29 June) Noah Kahan (4 July), Sabrina Carpenter (5 + 6 July), neil young and the chrome hearts (11 July), Stevie Wonder (12 July) and Jeff Lynne’s ELO (13 July). Expect more incredible announcements soon for the 2025 edition of the UK’s most anticipated summer event.

across three weekends – SZA to Kings of Leon, Morgan Wallen, Andrea Bocelli, Robbie
Williams, Shania Twain, Stevie Nicks, Kylie Minogue and Stray Kids.
