We have all sat somewhere daydreaming about what our lives would be like if we got to do and have everything we ever wanted. Sometimes those daydreams aren’t even necessarily realistic. However, those daydreams always make you feel good because unlike dreams when you are asleep, you pretty much have complete control of your daydreams and they make you happy! It’s a temporary escape from reality, something we all need from time to time.

With Callie Twisselman’s new song In My World she encompasses that feeling perfectly! Matched by a fun, uplifting, carefree sounding melody, Callie’s vocals soar with a far away, “head in the clouds” kind of vibe. You can’t listen to this song and not feel good! This song is so relatable in its lyrics and what makes it even more great is the potential to daydream your own version of lyrics. I can’t think that many would drift too far from Callie’s world though. We all wouldn’t mind having a billion dollars, a big house with a pool, a private jet and having no worries (the latter being one we all definitely want).

In My World is a great song to just let yourself go in and simply enjoy. Dance and sing along without a care in the world for under 3 minutes.

The track was written by Twisselman and produced by Tyler Cain (Darius Rucker, Colbie Callait, Gavin DeGraw) and mixed by Chris Lord-Alge.

Of the song Callie says “In My World’ is just a feel-good, fun upbeat song I wrote one day sitting on my couch,” says Twisselman. “I was thinking about all the things I wanted in life and daydreaming of what my world would look like if I got to make all the decisions and all of my wishes and desires just came true.”

“I hope when people listen to the song they are put in a good mood,” Twisselman adds. “And maybe even think about all of their hopes and dreams they want to strive for. I think it’s important in life to have dreams and goals cause then you have something to get excited about and chase after. And you never know, they just might come true.”

Callie Twisselman has been creating quite the dreamworld herself but for her, it’s actually reality! She can boast performances at places such as C2C Festival in London and has opened for legendary artists like Dolly Parton (even interviewed her for Apple on International Women’s Day in 2022). Now THAT is a daydream many have had I’m sure! The “pinch me” moments don’t stop there however, Twissleman’s last EP, Closure was met by much critical acclaim and she also released a song called Together in 2021 which was featured in the animated film My Little Pony: A New Generation.

Callie has recently performed in Napa Valley at Live In The Vineyard Goes Country with Hailey Witters and Scott McCreery, and has more dates to come in 2024.
