We don’t always feature strictly Country artists here as on occasion we cover cross over genres or just Nashville/Tennessee based artists. Today, we are featuring Keith Wallen who is best known as the rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist of the rock band Breaking Benjamin. 

Now a solo artist, Keith releases his current single Summer Sunday which is a chilled out, ambient tune with elements of electronica, trip hop, big beat and actually has a bit of a country edge to it too. With the amount of sub genres in country, this song definitely has a place there.

I would be interested to hear how this song translates in a live setting and as an acoustic version as think it has a lot of angles.

As a fan of artists such as Groove Armada, Chicane, Zero 7, Propellerheads (to name a few) and obviously country music – Summer Sunday has the perfect blend of both styles. I am now going to check out more of Keith Wallen’s music.
