Temecula Road pretty much have it all. They are young, beautiful, sweet and unbelievably talented. Temecula Road consist of sisters Maddie and Emma Salute who are both only 16 years old and their good friend Dawson Anderson who is 17 years old. The name Temecula Road came from the town they grew up in (Temecula, CA).
The trio have some of the most beautiful harmonies that I have heard, challenging any vocal group in the industry today. They may only be 16 and 17 but they have talent beyond their years. Emma, Maddie and Dawson write some of their own material as well as Dawson playing guitar and Emma playing Mandolin.
At such a young age, they have already achieved so much. They have been named one of the Top Country Artists To Watch In 2016 by The Huffington Post and have opened up for some of country music’s biggest names such as Martina McBride, Josh Turner, Joe Nichols, Sara Evans, Eli Young Band, Love and Theft, Jessie James Decker and the legendary Kenny Rogers. Wow! That is quite the career already and it is only going to get bigger.
Temecula Road have recently been named as Radio Disney’s Next Big Thing featured artist. Only one other artist in country music has shared that title since the program began and that was Kelsea Ballerini who has gone on to be one of the most successful artists in Country Music today and I can only predict a similar outcome for Temecula Road.
Temecula Road will be presented nationally on Radio Disney, Disney Channel, and across Radio Disney and Radio Disney Country’s digital platforms.
With an array of talent and like ability, Temecula Road already have an impressive following. Temecula Road have so much to offer and will appeal to a fan base of all ages. There is no group out there like them today. They must be one of, if not the youngest vocal group in country music which will go in their favour and I expect they will successfully draw in even more younger crowds into the country music world. They may be young but Temecula Road are older than their years, that shows in their songwriting and singing. Not only do Temecula Road sing and write their own material but they have also been performing mind blowing mash up cover version videos of some of the top 20 country songs in 2016, a task that doesn’t come easy. Their covers have also earned praise and respect from huge names such as Carrie Underwood, Brett Eldredge, Dan + Shay, Cam, and RaeLynn.
Signed to Disney Music Group’s Buena Vista Records, Temecula Road’s first single, “What If I Kissed You” (written by Jimmy Robbins, Sara Haze and Mike Daly), was released on February 17.
This song from the start is incredibly infectious. What If I Kissed You is everything that’s great about country-pop. Dawson starts off singing and has a voice so mature you would not believe his age. He has a raw yet rich tone which is lovely to listen to and makes me want to hear more. Emma and Maddie have equally mature voices that have a honeyed surface with a melodious, silvery tone and collectively, their harmonies are gorgeous, sweet-sounding and wonderfully irresistible.
The melody to the song is of summer time anthems. It is a lake party booming, rolled down windows in the car driving, dancing around the bedroom, up-beat, fun-lovin track. What If I Kissed You is incredibly catchy in the best way and is so uplifting it would probably even make Eeyore jump for joy ( had to put a Disney reference in there somewhere).
What If I Kissed You – Single by Temecula Road
I am delighted to say that Temecula Road will be a part of Country 2 Country Festival this year in London, UK. They will be playing both Saturday and Sunday, times to follow. This is a group you do not want to miss as they are only going to sky rocket and take the country music world by storm as the year goes on. We are very lucky to have them.
