Nocturne Live is a series of concerts that are held at the picturesque grounds of Blenheim Palace every summer in Oxfordshire. This year, we set off to The Corrs whom were supported by Australian singer/songwriter and legend Natalie Imbruglia and UK Country-pop trio Remember Monday.

90’s pop-rock sensation Natalie Imbruglia, who made a name for herself within the music industry with her hit single Torn and phenomenal album Left of The Middle is still making waves in the industry today. Natalie’s last studio album Firebird was released in 2021 but more recently she released her live album ‘London – Live’ which features live versions of songs across her career which include Torn, Smoke, Big Mistake, Shiver and Wrong Impression.

Natalie has been touring extensively this summer and continues to do so throughout July and August including some support slots with Texas.

Today, Imbruglia supported The Corrs at Blenheim Palace just after UK country trio Remember Monday.

A local to the area, Imbruglia was excited to play at Blenheim especially as she had family and friends in the audience.

Kicking things off with What It Feels Like, Natalie was met by a full crowd who were clearly eager to see her.

Old songs and new, we were also treated with an unreleased track called Habit which will hopefully be released in the future. One track that truly stood out was Just Like Old Times which is from her last album Firebird. The album was written in Nashville and you can certainly hear elements of country within the track.

The entire set was very nostalgic with hit after hit such as Wrong Impression, Smoke, Shiver, Wishing I Was There and One More Addiction. Ending with Torn followed by Big Mistake – which of course, were songs everyone was waiting for. The majority of the audience were up, dancing and singing along and it was sad to have the set over so soon.

Imbruglia is always fun live – She gives such great energy with an infectious stage presence which really gets the crowd going. As a support act, Natalie knows it’s her job to warm up the crowd and it is something that she excels in.

Natalie’s rock-pop sound will always have a place amongst music fans because it has such a timeless edge. Whether fans were there for nostalgic reasons, are hardcore fans or discovering her for the first time, I think we can all agree she is a a wonderful feel-good artist who’s live performance is unforgettable.
