Nocturne Live is a series of shows that are held at the picturesque grounds of Blenheim Palace every summer in Oxfordshire. This year, we set off to The Corrs whom were supported by Australian singer/songwriter and legend Natalie Imbruglia and UK Country-pop trio Remember Monday.
Remember Monday, as I am sure readers are aware, were the UK entrants for Eurovision this year with their song What The Hell Just Happened? The girls made the top ten in the Jury Votes but sadly failed to reach any points in the public vote. This however, hasn’t deterred the girls from reaching success as they secured a top 40 hit with their song in the mainstream charts.
The girls, who have known each other since college and formed their group independently – left their main jobs to concentrate on their group. These jobs weren’t your regular 9-5 as Holly and Lauren left their roles in London’s West End. Holly played Christian Daae in Phantom of The Opera and Lauren in Cinderella respectfully.
As well as a string of festivals this year, the Remember Monday girls (Holly, Lauren and Charlotte) were part of the Capitol One Radio Summertime Ball line up this month where they performed at Wembley Stadium in front of tens of thousands of attendees.
Today, Remember Monday opened up the Nocturne Stage to support The Corrs. A breathtaking view with the stage being within the grounds of Blenheim Palace, the stunning 300 year old estate makes the perfect backdrop.
An almost full crowd, which is always a delight to see for a support act, Remember Monday took to the stage with a full band and jumped straight into their song What The Girls Bathroom Is For. On point vocals and heavenly harmonies, Holly, Charlotte and Lauren made heads turn, bringing in an even bigger crowd as soon as people heard them sing. Fun, charming and incredibly humble, the girls personality made the audience fall in love with them as well as their music.

Talking about ex’s the girls then performed the title track to their 2024 EP Crazy Anyway that they performed on the Jennifer Hudson show. A highlight came from their ballad Prove Me Right which they admitted they don’t do live often as don’t want to lose the crowd with a slow number. They needn’t have worried as the Nocturne crowd were very much into it and the song was vocally exceptional.
Back to a fun, upbeat summer number with new song Happier. Never having performed the song live before, this song needs to remain on their setlist as is an absolute bop.
Other songs performed included Famous and Laugh About It, all of which went down very well, I think even Tom was getting into it (you will understand if you were in the crowd).

The audience joined in for their cover of Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield which was a lovely moment but of course the closing number of What The Hell Just Happened brought all the energy.
Remember Monday have come so far since we first came to know them in 2018. Made for the stage and made to be together, Holly, Charlotte and Lauren just have it all. They owned the stage as if they had been playing big shows for years and years and you could easily see why they were picked for Eurovision and why they were invited to play at Wembley Stadium for Capitol Summer time ball. You couldn’t fault their vocals, when they performed their cover of Alanis Morrisette’s Hand In My Pocket, their insane vocal harmonies changed the song in such a beautiful way that it made it their own.

Remember Monday are growing from strength to strength and whilst they have already had an incredible year, they are only going to get bigger and better and it won’t be long before we will be fighting people for tickets to their shows. This is just the beginning for the girls, and their journey is going to be incredible to watch.
