The ever popular Lakefest returns from 6th to 10th August 2025 at the stunning Eastnor Castle Deer Park in Herefordshire, and continues to be celebrated as one of the UK’s best family-friendly music festivals. A festival that’s not too big and not too small—Lakefest offers just the right atmosphere to keep everyone entertained and feeling safe without feeling overwhelmed.
Praised for its diverse lineup of live music, comedy, food and more, Lakefest also boasts a wide variety of free and affordable activities for all ages, ensuring there’s never a dull moment for anyone in your group.
This year’s main stage will feature headline performances from Faithless, Echo and the Bunnymen, Kula Shaker, Groove Armada, and many others. But that’s not all—the festival is introducing an exciting new addition: the 7 Hills Tent.
Curated by Matt Owens—formerly of Noah and The Whale, and currently of Matt Owens and The Delusional Vanity Project and Our Man In The Field—the 7 Hills Tent will showcase some of the UK’s finest Americana and Folk talent. Owens has been running the 7 Hills Fest Project for a few years now, including a popular annual event in Bath. This year, Owens is now bringing this growing project to Lakefest for the very first time, adding a fresh and exciting stage to the festival.
With some country and Americana acts already being on the billing such as Kezia Gill, Amy Moore and Willie and The Bandits, the 7 Hills Stage is a very much welcomed addition to the festival – you won’t want to miss it!
Across the four days, festival goers will be treated with the likes of Owen’s own bands such as Matt Owens and The Delusional Vanity Project and Our Man In The Field. The latter have recently played The Royal Albert Hall as part of Highways Festival and will also be playing Glastonbury and supporting Neil Young at BST Hyde Park in July.
Other acts performing on the 7 Hills stage will be Multi-award winning singer/songwriter Robert Vincent. Vincent is Americana Royalty in the UK. Songs such as The Kids Don’t Dig God Anymore and pretty much anything off of his Barriers album will captivate the Lakefest audience as well as his quick witted sense of humour.
Thea Gilmore should be no stranger to the Americana scene. Her current album These Quiet Friends is a stunning work of art of sensational covers which live at Lakefest, will blow peoples minds. We hope for her breathtaking rendition of Sweet Child O’Mine and Wrecking Ball as part of her set list.
Fans of the band Squeeze will already be familiar with the name Chris Difford. Bringing his solo material and probably a bit of Squeeze too, you won’t be tempted by the fruit of another.
Hannah White is quicky becoming a household name in the Americana/Folk scene and is not to be missed. White will undoubtedly have the audience feeling emotional during her set.
Check out the entire 7 Hill Stage Line up as it is packed with unmissable acts and you may find yourself lodged at the stage all weekend. It is certainly a great place to start discovering new music that you will likely fall in love with.
If you aren’t already an annual festival attendee at Lakefest, make this year your first and you will soon find yourself calling Lakefest your annual go to festival. It truly is a magical place with a warm glow that fills everyone’s hearts.
