
The Long Road Festival in Leicestershire, UK just keeps getting bigger and better. The best outdoors country and Americana festival for the summer, there is something for everyone at The Long Road.
This year, it has been announced that there will be a new stage. This stage is called The Hitching Post and it is an all-day, all-welcome dance hall.
The Hitching Post is said to be a place to gather, hang out, and get moving. Now with country music fans being well known for their hospitality, The Hitching post will be a great place for friends and family to hang out but to also make new friends. Heading to The Long Road Festival alone? The good folk at The Hitching Post will sort you out and you will be surrounded by new friends in no time.
The new stage will have a bar inside, play host to live music, panels, quizzes, linedancing, and good old-fashioned fun, it’s a new kind of festival hangout with a wooden floor and a whole lot of heart.

The Long Road Festival will return for its biggest year ever later this summer (Aug. 22 – 24) on the beautiful grounds of Stanford Hall in Leicestershire, with country traditionalist and critically acclaimed Drake Milligan (Friday), double GRAMMY nominated Texan trio Midland (Saturday) and multiple Brit Award winner, Ivor Novello recipient and GRAMMY nominee James Bay (Sunday) as the headline acts.
The lineup is full of exciting and varied acts which includes Seasick Steve, Fantastic Negrito, Alana Springsteen, Larry Fleet, Charles Wesley Godwin, Elles Bailey, Ashley Monroe, Fancy Hagood, Janet Devlin and a European summer exclusive performance from Chuck Ragan. A variety of accommodation options are available: from General Camping; a tree-lined Premium Campsite with upscale amenities closer to the main arena; Live-in Vehicle Fields; Pitch & Park, the luxurious Elwood Park riverside Glamping, now provided by festival veterans and luxury experience specialists Green Yurts. From 2025, payment plans will be available to make Glamping more affordable than ever, while offering luxurious options for those who want a little extra. In addition to the on-site accommodation options, there are also Off Road Lodgings and shuttle bus packages available to purchase in collaboration with local hotels.
