One of my favourite voices in Country Music, Danielle Bradbery could sing the phone book and I’d be on board! A certain sense of innocence in her vocals as well as strong notes of maturity, Bradbery is a wonderful poetic vocalist who delivers a beautiful story in every song.
Younger and Wiser, released today, is a gorgeous country pop ballad. Having won The Voice back in 2013, Danielle was only 16 when she won and released her debut album. A fantastic album in its own right, Bradbery has of course grown up since then and has released music of a more mature and fitting level that suits her own unique stylings.
However, In Younger and Wiser Danielle Bradbery kind of takes a trip down memory lane and looks back at the time when she was younger and inexperienced. Feeling that back then she was none the wiser and how it made her more fearless and riskier, the song speaks of when you grow up, you are more aware of your surroundings and become somewhat more fearful of things. The song delivers that message perfectly and we all miss that time in our lives when we were innocent and kinder to ourselves.
Bradbery is also taking fans back on a journey of what her debut album sound was all about and what made us all fall in love with her as an artist to begin with. This song makes the listener pay attention to the all important and relatable lyrics and showcases the beauty in storytelling songs.
Younger and Wiser is a goosebump giving type of song that makes you shiver with its emotive and reminiscent lyrics. Who can’t relate to this song and make it their own story?
