Tennessee born, singer-songwriter Shane Profitt released his latest single, “Back Home” last week via Big Machine Label Group.

The track was written by Profitt, multi-PLATINUM artist Chris Janson, hitmaker Blake Bollinger and Nate Kenyon and produced by the GRAMMY® Award-winning Julian Raymond.

The song expresses that longing feeling for home and that there really is no place like home. Something of course, many can relate to.

“Home isn’t just a place, but a feeling,” says Profitt. “A lot of this song comes from my time spent on the road and missing that small town feeling and being near to the places, people and things you love—something I’m sure a lot of people can relate to.”

Profitt takes us on a journey of his past where he sings of childhood memories such as hanging out at the local Walmart Car park, working on a farm, high school kids and more. It’s a lovely nostalgic song which makes you want to listen to the words and think about your own childhood.

Profitt has recently released a string of new tracks including the laid-back love song “ Two Down” and the autobiographical “I Am Who I Am” and is continuing to work on new music.
