Ryan Kinder released his much anticipated new single What If I on Friday 13th October 2023.
One of our favourite voices here at BOON, Kinder always releases exceptional music and What If I is no exception.
I have said so many times that Ryan Kinder should be a huge name within the music industry. It actually pains me that he isn’t. Not only is he a sensational vocalist but he is also an extremely talented guitar player and a fantastic songwriter. As a huge supporter of many artists, Kinder is one artist that I truly truly want to be a huge success.
What If I is a bluesy, country-rock mid tempo ballad that starts off strong with a catchy intro from the simple yet effective guitar picking. That strength remains throughout delivering a song that is powerfully impactful in its entirety!
The chorus is instantly memorable and addictive and has a cinematic feel. It’s also an incredibly anthemic song which screams ‘live in an arena’. If you have ever been lucky enough to see Kinder live then you will know his strengths definitely lie in a live setting as well as on record. He brings so much energy to his shows and is a flawlessly gifted performer.
It’s a short song and ends quite abruptly but it works. The song is well produced and all around masterful. Kinder seems to get it right with every song that he puts out and it always leaves me desperate for more music!

Ryan Kinder has also recently put out a short documentary called Keep Up where he takes us on a journey for his training of the Iron Man Championships. The documentary also talks of his music career and its ups and downs. It’s well worth a watch!
The you tube channel describes the documentary as follows: Ryan Kinder has stunned the Nashville music scene with his harrowing voice and powerful guitar playing but he doesn’t stop there. As an avid triathlete, Ryan was selected to compete in the Ironman World Championship and attempts to balance his physical training with recording his second full length country rock album.
