Tyler Reese Tritt is a rising country singer/songwriter who needs to be on every country music fans radar.
At just 14 years old, Tyler Reese made her debut recording the timeless duet Sometimes Love Just Ain’t Enough alongside her father, the renowned Travis Tritt. Whilst it was this moment that helped her catch the attention of country music fans, it was her own mind, passion and talent that has kept her on the path to success.
Tyler Reese needs not to be known simply by her father but for the hard working and gifted artist she has become all on her own. With her blend of traditional and modern country, Tyler Reese has fans of all ages and that fan base continues to build rapidly.
Tyler Reese is a beautiful vocalist and an amazing performer with catchy and relatable songs. If she continues to slay with her incredible, well crafted tunes (which we believe she will) it won’t be long before people ask Travis Tritt if he’s Tyler Reese’s dad! We can’t wait to hear what else Tyler Reese has in store for us in the future.
Tyler Reese Tritt recently released her single, Texas Hold Him. A beautiful mid-tempo ballad with a strong traditional feel, the emotive track also has a 90’s pop/country edge!
The song was co-written by Jaida Dreyer and Melissa Peirce, and produced by Alex Kline.
In her own words, Tyler Reese described the song, saying, “It beautifully captures the emotions and challenges of moving forward while leaving a piece of your heart behind. It’s a heartfelt anthem that speaks to anyone who has ever had to make the difficult choice of pursuing their dreams.”

We caught up with Tyler Reese to discuss her single Texas Hold Him, her love for her hometown, advice from her father Travis Tritt and more!
Enjoy!
Hi Tyler, I hope you are well? I am loving the new single Texas Hold Him – How did this song come to be and what made you decide to release it as a single?
Jaida Dreyer had wrote the song and pitched it to me along with a bunch of others. And of course as life would have it, I had just visited my ex boyfriend in Texas to see if we could make things work one last time and we couldn’t. So when I was finally able to go through and listen to the songs she sent and I heard “Texas Hold Him” the lyrics described everything I was thinking and feeling to a T. Almost as if I had wrote it myself.I heard it and had to have it. I told Jaida I was taking it and the rest was history.
Do you have a favourite lyric in the song?
My favorite lyrics of Texas Hold Him has to be “If he follows don’t you slow him down, cause if I see his face I know I’ll turn around”
Will there be a music video for it?
I hope so! I could definitely see myself shooting a music video for the song sometime in the future. I think we could come up with a really awesome idea!
I also really love Porch Light, the video is really fantastic too! Can you tell us a bit about the song and the video?
Porch Light stuck out to me because I loved the sass! It was right up my alley personality wise. The video was all the director Kimberly Nail’s Idea! I remember reading through the script she sent me, I absolutely loved it and was so excited to start filming! Filming was also just as much fun as it looked! We had an amazing team and everyone had a really fun time.
When cutting outside songs, what is it you look for?
I look to see if its a song I could’ve written. When cutting outside songs it has to move me, make me feel something. The song has to relate or resonate with the me in someway otherwise I won’t be able to deliver when I sing it. I can’t fake emotion when I’m singing so the song has to hit some type of chord with me so I’m able to sing the song as if I wrote it.
Who is the first person you play new music to?
My mom, because she’s always very honest and gives me really good feedback and critiques when I need it.
What is the best advice your dad gave you about the music biz? Or anyone in your life really?
Dad always gives me great advice but the best advice he gave about the music business was that I only have one career and no one is going to look after myself or my career better than me.
Did you ever want to do anything else or was it always going to be music?
I always knew it was going to be music. There was definitely no talking me out of anything.
So you obviously grew up with your dads music but were you always a fan? I had friends at school who used to be somewhat embarrassed by their dads music as it either brought them too much attention or they were embarrassed but loved it when they were older.
I may be biased but I have always loved Dad’s music. My parents said when they were pregnant with me and my brothers we all would listen to dad while we were in the womb and we would always move around and kick like crazy.

There is so much negativity at the moment surrounding children of famous people ( nepotism). I find this a tad unfair as I think that sometimes it can make it more difficult. I am hoping that you haven’t faced the negativity as I have always seen you as someone who has made her own path, and worked hard for it!
Thank you so much! Of course there’s always those few who have something negative to say. I’m not gonna lie and say it’s not a foot in the door and beneficial in a lot of ways. My Dad told me from the beginning that he would always give me any advice if I needed, but he never had anyone help him when he was starting. He had to work his way up and figure everything out in his own and that’s what he wants me to do. To start from the ground up on my own, to go out and build my own audience and fanbase, to figure out what works for me and what doesn’t. Which I appreciated and have loved doing. It is hard in the sense that you’re always going to be compared to your parent so you feel like you have a lot to prove. But that just motivates me and makes me push harder. Also, you can’t help what family you’re born into.
What other music did you grow up listening to?
All kinds of different genres. My family is from all over the place so I grew up listening to island music, country, rock, pop the list goes on and on.
Do you have a favourite song of your dads?
I have 3 favorites. Where Corn Don’t Grow, Help Me Hold On, Drift Off To Dream
Your brothers are artists too is that right?
Yes, my middle brother sings rock and plays the guitar and my youngest brother sings, plays the guitar, and drums. They’re both very very talented!
Can you tell us a bit about them?
My middle brother Tristan is a year apart from me so he’s my partner in crime. He’s very funny, he has a huge heart, and he lives to aggravate. We always say he could aggravate Jesus Christ off the cross. My youngest brother Tarian is like my little sidekick. He’s very smart and very much a handyman. He can fix anything. Our personalities are very similar so we but heads a little more than Tristan and I do but he is my ride or die buddy and is always hanging with me. I love both of my brothers to death.

I love how all your names begin with T – do you have pets that start with a T too?
No, thank the Lord! Mom has a hard enough time getting all of our names correct as it is! Lol
In your bio it says you’re very much a home person! What is it about home that you love so much and were you ever tempted to move to Nashville or anywhere else?
I love everything about Georgia. I knew I couldn’t go anywhere else. The scenery, the seasons, the fact that I’m close to my family. I love everything about it here. I’m only 3 hours from Nashville which is perfect so I was never really tempted to move there.
Is it Powder Springs you live in ? What is that like? US towns are so different to UK ones. I guess we have some similarities but there is so much difference too!
It’s a small town, small community. Everyone knows everyone, it definitely has its pros and cons. The town is so cute I can’t get enough of it.
What is a typical family night? Do you have any times when you perform together just for yourselves? Any holiday traditions or anything?
A typical family night for us is eating food nana made. She’s the most amazing cook. Then we sit for hours on end talking, telling stories at the table, or we go the front porch and hang there. And we have many holiday traditions as well.
So your hobbies are horse back riding and swimming but do you have any hobbies or interests that people may not necessarily know about?
I love to hunt, fish, anything outdoors really. I also love to spend time with my friends and my family anyway I can.
Have you been to the UK before and do you plan to do some shows here soon?
I have never been to the UK. I have always wanted to go! I definitely hope I will have shows there in the near future.
What are you listening to at the moment?
I’ve had “Bongos” by Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion on repeat! It gets me dancing!
What are you working on next?
We have a whole bunch of new songs we are working on and hoping to expand the places we play next year! I’m really looking forward to what we have going on.
