The Last Days of Summer Festival – Featuring Morganway, Demi Marriner, Robert Vincent Band and More!

The passion project of Bathonian and Noah and the Whale’s Matt Owens, The 7 Hills Returns, this time just off the London Road, with Band of the Year winners Morganway, AMAUK Album of the year Robert Vincent and slew of 20 other great artists, in a one day celebration of Grassroots Music, Rock’n’roll and Singer-songwriters.

The ethos of The 7 Hills is to provide a platform for local, upcoming artists, whilst pairing them on a lineup with some of the finest musicians working today!

With many of us having the festival blues now that the summer is pretty much over, this will be a great day out to enjoy what we hope will still be sunshine but will definitely be good times!

The line up is a fantastic one! Many people would have seen a lot of these artist over the summer but who better than the lively, harmonious supergroup Morganway to close the warm outdoorsy events. Morganway have been killing it at every stage they have graced and the energy they bring is insane. If you want to simply be merry, have a dance and enjoy the highest of talents both vocally and instrumentally then make sure you come along and soak up the vibe of Morganway!

Another artist not to be missed on this line-up is Demi Marriner. We have yet to see live but we are totally obsessed with her debut album The Things We Didn’t Say. If you love Americana/Country then Demi will be right up your street. We have expressed that her album is a contender for our album of the year and we can only imagine that these songs live will be absolutely stunning! Demi showcases a lot of instrumentation in her music which we love!!! I truly believe she won’t let us down by being a live act not to miss.

Robert Vincent is already popular amongst the Americana family and he is actually another act that we still haven’t seen live!!!! An artist that Bob Harris is a huge supporter of, Vincent is bound to captivate his audience and this will be a perfect place to watch him and fall in love, we know we probably will!

Matt Owens and The Delusional Vanity Project are another exciting band not to miss. The man behind the event, how he has time to play at the festival too is beyond me! Beer For The Horses Album screams live music, so his set will be one heck of a show! An artist who makes good use of musical instruments within his music, expect beautiful sounds from the banjo, harmonica and more!

One artist playing who has become quite the instrumentalist is local artist Barney Kenny. Hailing from Malmesbury in Wiltshire, Kenny is a remarkable up and coming Folk singer/songwriter who will delight you with his instrumental talents and his raw vocals. Barney released The Seaton Tapes in 2022 which holds many traditional folk/country tunes including a cover of Star of The County Down. The album comes with exceptional musicianship and is cited as an album ‘to capture the vibe of his live show in its rawest and most stripped back format, exactly as he is on stage.’ Hopefully Kenny will showcase his skills on the slide guitar as well as other instruments.

There are many artists on the line up that we are yet to check out and become familiar with but what better place to do that than at a festival? Sometimes going in blind is the best way to discover new music to love!
