Bowen * Young are a Nashville based, husband and wife Folk/Country duo consisting of Clare Bowen and Brandon Robert Young!
If you are are a fan of the TV series Nashville then you will already be familiar with Australian singer/songwriter/actress Clare Bowen who played Scarlet O’Connor!
Brandon Robert Young is a singer/songwriter/actor who has appeared in the likes of Shameless and Nashville.
Bowen has one of the most extraordinarily stunning and somewhat innocent sounding vocals that will simply take your breathe away.
Young’s vocals are delicate and emotive making the duo’s vocals compliment each other perfectly. The duo are a beautiful vocal match made in heaven as much as they are personally!
Bowen first met her husband Brandon Robert Young backstage at one of her show’s to rehearse a duet of If I Didn’t Know Better (From Nashville).
During an interview we had with Bowen back in 2018 she said ;
“We actually met singing on the Bridgestone Arena stage at my first big show and he walked into my dressing room that day and I swear something tapped me on the shoulder and said “Do not take your eyes off that boy” it was all encompassing in this room and it gave me a bit of a fright because I had never felt like that about anybody before and I just wanted to know him and be friends with him. We sang on the Bridgestone stage together and sang If I Didn’t Know Better and he was great. He then walked off the stage and went on the road with John Hiatt and three months later we wrote our first song together and I fell in love with him right then and there – it was quite a shock as well haha. It took us almost a year to hold hands we were so shy but he changed my life forever and now I can’t imagine it without him.”
Young since then became part of the Nashville tour as well as having a cameo on the show itself (we won’t say what part in case you haven’t seen it, although it is revealed in our interview ).
Clare Bowen released a sensational debut album in 2018 and just a few short years later she and Brandon Robert Young formed the duo Bowen and Young.
So far, the duo have released only a handful of songs. Beautiful harmonies and melodic, dreamy tunes, each song is wonderfully impactful sonically and lyrically!
Bowen * Young are releasing a new single July 7th called Water to Wine so it’s likely BST Hyde Park will be the first time they will play it live since it’s release. Perhaps even the first time live ever!
Delivering some of the most gorgeous music in the folk/country genre, seeing Bowen * Young in the BST Hyde Park setting supporting Billy Joel will be an opportunity you won’t want to miss! This is just the beginning of their career as a duo and we can only expect greater things for them in the not too distant future! We feel this will very much be an “I was there” kind of moment!
Bowen and Young will be playing BST Hyde Park on July 7th supporting Billy Joel alongside Daryl Hall, Natasha Bedingfield, Rumer, Remember Monday, Brad Heidi, Jon Muq, Sophia Alexa, and Alyssa Bonagura.
Keep an eye on the App for stage times.
Bowen * Young will also be playing an intimate headline show at the Omeara in London on July 10th. Tickets here
