Lindsay Ell is fast becoming an honorary brit. We, the UK have supported her for a number of years now ever since she supported The Band Perry back in 2013. I personally remember her on stage with just her guitar and leaving a very lasting impression with her wicked guitar playing and her song Trippin’ On Us.
Fast forward to 2017 – Lindsay released her debut EP Worth The Wait in March and her debut studio album The Project in September.
As much as I thoroughly enjoyed Lindsay’s music way back when (I even have her independent cd Consider This) I agree with her sentiment Worth The Wait as I feel she has improved as an artist in every direction since we saw her in 2013 . Lindsay herself has something similar to say;
“I feel like I’ve finally found myself,” Ell beams about ‘The Project’. “I’m a better guitar player, I’m a better singer, I’m a better songwriter. I’m just a different artist, and I’ve never felt about music the way I do now.”
Lindsay is in a completely different place now musically and I certainly feel she has found her feet, reached a more mature level of writing and I feel with this album, that she has something to say, is writing from an honest place and has delivered an album that really belongs up their with the greats.
Having a successful run of shows during Country Music Week in London last October, we are delighted that Lindsay will be returning for C2C Festival in March and that she will not only be bringing the live versions of The Project with her but also a UK release of The Project on March 9th – just in time for the weekend festivities.
