The line up has caused quite a stir but given how we were once so deprived of country music in this country, I am pretty happy. First off, you cannot get better than Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, what a headline and worth the ticket price alone in my opinion. Little Big Town always put on a mind blowing set and are very deserving of a headline spot. I love Kacey Musgraves but she is yet to prove to me if she can pull of headlining after what will be a killer, show stopping performance from Kip Moore. Kelsea Ballerini has more than proven her place on the main stage and Old Dominion were such a favourite the last time they were here that they definitely belong there too.
It is always nice to have a legendary act on the bill and Emmylou Harris is not only an exciting addition but a rare one. Luke Combs and Midland have become two of the biggest acts to emerge in country music recently and I think that they will both walk away with the most memorable performances over the weekend.
Ashley Campbell is important to this festival as not only is she treasured by the UK but her performance will prove to be an emotional tribute to her fathers recent passing and every fan in the audience will be there with her and feeling the love and the loss.
Margo Price has come up in the music industry lately with a huge fan base in the UK and those who love her are ecstatic about this main stage slot and as someone who has never seen her live yet, I am both intrigued and excited.
In between the main stage acts we have such a high calibre of artists that I think I am more excited to see them than the headliners. We have Lukas Nelson and Promise Of The Real (son of Willie Nelson) who is a fantastic country rock star with an exceptional voice and catalogue of genius material. Lindsay Ell who is worth seeing for her guitar playing alone but has released her brilliant album The Project showing just how talented she is as a singer/songwriter too. Jillian Jacqueline who I am currently obsessed with and has one of the best EP’s out (Side A) that I have heard in a long time and her sweet vocals and attitude will win the crowd in no time. Morgan Evans, Australian singer who is engaged to Kelsea Ballerini, Morgan had a very successful visit her not so long ago and his music and personality gained a massive audience and we are thrilled to have him back. Ashley McBride, another fan favourite who has caused much excitement for her appearance.
Of course C2C has so much more to offer than the main stage. The pop up stages get better and better every year with artists you would pay good money to see individually. The weekend will also have songwriters circles, exclusive shows, meet and greets and don’t forget the after parties. For this reason, I find it worth being very close to the arena so you don’t miss anything due to traffic or public transport issues as they always hold you back and when you want to be somewhere NOW, this isn’t easy when staying even a mile or two away.
The Intercontinental Hotel – London O2 at the O2 Arena backs into the O2 itself with a nice little walkway that will get you there in no time at all. Whilst being more expensive than other hotels which it would with its star rating and location – if C2C is your annual holiday or a mini break then it is worth the extra money to save the extra mileage and the extra stress. If you include breakfast, then that is also worth it as is a buffet and has everything you could think of, I am hungry just thinking about it. Parking is secure and there is plenty to do including a spa and pool, restaurant and various bars and hey….you never know who you might just bump into there.
The rooms are luxurious and the beds are very comfortable. After a long night out, especially if you go the after parties, there is nothing better than stumbling a few feet to your hotel and then crashing into a comfy bed with little time or effort and like I said, no mad dash panic in the morning. I often sneak back for a power nap too throughout the day.

All things considered I for one will make a weekend out if it as don’t have the time for big holidays at the moment, so this will be mine – will it be yours?
