Who knew that the vast majority of Sabrina Carpenter fans were also fans of country music? Western wear wherever you looked – many would assume this was a country music event.
The genre has come so far in the last few years from being a niche market here in the UK. Artists like Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, Zach Bryan, Dasha and Shaboozey have made the main steam charts here so country music is really taking over. You could also say Beyoncé has had a hand in bringing more people to the genre. Her album Cowboy Carter has played a significant role in highlighting talent such as Shaboozey and Tanner Adell and the latter of course, is whom we are here at BST Hyde Park to see. Tanner was featured on the track Blackbiird on Cowboy Carter alongside Brittney Spencer, Tiera Kennedy and Renya Roberts.
Tanner’s popularity also catapulted since her single Buckle Bunny. Her music has enabled her to grace the C2C Festival stages in 2025 and then bring her back to the UK for her own headline tour this summer alongside BST.
Opening the Rainbow Stage at BST Hyde Park on Sunday 6th July supporting Sabrina Carpenter, Tanner had a huge turn out which isn’t always the case when many people are still arriving. These weren’t just people hanging around seeing what she was all about, these were people that knew her music and that fact seemed to startle her a bit.
Sporting a gorgeous orange outfit (even though her favourite colour is pink) , with a cowboy hat and boots, Tanner looked amazing. Dancing all around the stage in such a free spirited way, the sounds of Tanner Adell brought the Hyde Park audience to life. Her role today was to warm up the crowd, and she can proudly tick that box. Treating fans with songs such as FU-150 and Strawberry Crush, she also performed new numbers Snakeskin and Giddy Up Gorgeous. Upbeat, fun and full of energy, Tanner’s set brought the party to hyde park and no-one wanted it to end. Closing with Buckle Bunny – Tanner goes to say “I don’t know if anyone knows….” (this song ) before being cut off by the crowd cheering. “ Oh great” she says with a grin. The vibe of that song was contagious and Tanner had people dancing as if they were starring in their own music video.
Tanner is exactly what we needed on a Sunday afternoon to get us all geared up for Sabrina Carpenter later in the evening. She’s fun, she’s sassy, she’s sweet, her music is such a vibe and she knows how to bring the good times!
Let this be one of many future visits to the UK.
